What I Wore To BlogHer14

Ok ladies, as promised, I'm putting together a post of what I wore to BlogHer. I've never done a "fashion" post before so bare with me. Being as tall as I am, (6'1") and usually falling into the category of "plus size", it's not always easy to find clothes. Okay, actually, it really sucks, mostly because of my height. My go-to stores have always been Lane Bryant and/or Avenue. I can usually find something if I'm in a bind. Sometimes I'm really happy with it and other times I feel like I settled. And feeling like you settled is never as fun. I've never felt much like I enjoyed fashion until I stumbled upon two stores that I fell in love with from the get-go. The first one is called Factory Connection. The only one I've seen is in Stephenville, Tx and my sister-in-laws told me about it, so I checked it out. Low and behold they have amazing clothes in the plus-size section and most of their pants are LONG. My other favorite store, which is a bit more popular is, Maurices. Maurices also has a plus size section and their jeans come in tall. I haven't found any other jeans that fit me better than the ones they carry. Up until I discovered their jeans, I was special ordering pants which is so super lame and annoying. So here are my outfits and where I purchased everything. {most of my accessories came from Charming Charlie}

**Disclaimer** Please ignore the horrible hotel lighting and the ugly shower in the background. It was the only mirror option I had.

Black and tan chevron pants are from Factory Connection. Neon yellow lace undershirt is from Maurices. Simple black tank top is from Lane Bryant.

Both top and jeans are from Maurices.

Lace dress and denim jacket both came from Maurices but were not sold or paired together.

Green chevron top is from Factory Connection. White linen pants in "tall" are from Lane Bryant.

Black and white dress is from Factory Connection {I was a little unsure about this one because it felt too short for me but after I wore it, it ended up being my favorite}

These were all outfits I felt confident in, and I think that's the most important. As long as you feel good about it, you'll look good. We should never categorize our self as "petite" or "plus size", or "hard to fit", we should wear the clothes we feel great in and put our self in the "beautiful" category. Please leave feedback on this post, I'd like to see if this is something I should do again...of course with better pictures and less shower drains in the background. And it's okay if you don't think it's something I should do again, because frankly, I'm on the fence. Again, thank you for all the encouragement and kind compliments I got while I was at BlogHer! That smile you see was true and from the heart.
