Tuesday 10
1. I feel like I need to redeem myself from last week’s widow Tuesday 10…It was supposed to be kinda funny, because if you can’t laugh at yourself, all that’s left is crying. I have a very good friend who has experienced a similar situation and we tend to make lite of our widowness when we feel the need so I guess that post was more for her and I and not to get you guys down. So here’s to this week’s Tuesday 10…I promise to deliver 1st world complaints, sarcasm and bitchiness

What Kaleb Wore {Target Edition}
Ok boymoms- how frustrated are you with your options for boy clothing...especially when they're getting out of the baby sizes?? Some of you might be down with the options these days, and that's cool too, but I just can't put skulls on my baby. I know he isn't a baby anymore but gah, the "grown up" clothes we have to pick from lately is tough. Except if you shop at Target this summer. I was so thrilled when I came across some clothes that weren't full of characters and or sku
10 Things Young Widows Know All Too Well
1. Unfortunately, we know that when the funeral home told us to order 15-20 copies of the death certificate, they were right in advising us to do so. Every damn person and company and organization want to have the death certificate on file. We are carrying those certs with us in our car and probably keep a copy at work somewhere. 2. People don't know how long to treat us like we are fragile, so they tend to always treat us like that. The other day, I *thought* I was about
Memories
You know what's weird? Ever since I posted about Charles suicide last week, I feel like I have so much more to blog about now. I feel like opening up more and more. I still have so much more on my heart than I thought. Tonight the memories make me want to puke. I was literally just standing in the shower and I wanted to throw up. Last year on the 1 year anniversary, my best friends took me on a little day adventure to ensure I wouldn't be sitting at home, dwelling on it. It w

When Darkness Turns To Light
There’s no way you can know in the first week. The first month. The first year.
The first days, weeks and months were filled with regret, anger, sadness, why’s, how’s, should have’s, a lot more anger, more regret, and more should have’s. Those emotions took over life, making it impossible to see the other side of things. There was no clarity. There was no logical thinking. There was no understanding. There was only confusion and that confusion lead to other things that made

You Aren't the Only One.
To the mom who uses bribery with her child 842 times a day…you aren’t the only one. To the mom who skips bath or teeth brushing a few nights here and there because it’s just easier…you aren’t the only one. To the mom who forgot it was your turn to provide snacks after the soccer game…you aren’t the only one. To the (Texas) mom who sent your kid to school dressed in shorts before you realized a cold front came and it’s 40* outside…you aren’t the only one. To the mom who loses
Tuesday 10
Don’t get me wrong, I love Hobby Lobby and I’ll keep shopping there but the fact they are so religious yet put Christmas decorations out on May 27th….I sense some black kettle here. People just don’t think before they open their mouth and every time it happens, I use it as a lesson and reminder to myself – think before you talk. Yesterday, in the coffee line, this guy whose walking with a cane (with a swollen knee that looked to have been operated on), says to me (while point

Kaleb's 4th Birthday ~ Train Edition
Another successful party goes into the books! Kaleb had been requesting a train party for about 6 months, so I knew there was no way he was going to change his mind. As I'm a tad bit over Thomas the Train I decided to go a little less traditional and use navy and green as the colors. I really love the way it turned out! There really isn't a need for a lot of talk in this post, I'll let the pictures do most of the speaking. (If you have questions as to where I got anything,

Planes and Guac ~ Product Loves
It's been way too long since I've shared with y'all what we're into these days. {other than transportation toys and guacamole, of course} If I haven't already told you, I'm sorta a brand jumper. Ever since I was a makeup artist for Sephora, I learned that not just 1 brand had the best of everything. For instance, I love the eyeliner from Stila but I prefer to use Urban Decay shadows. The same goes with me and skin care. Oh and hair products too. I LOVE trying them all and see
